The Distributor of the Year 2001 for Middle East & Africa.

The Symantec Annual EMEA Distributors' conference was held in Las Palmas from the 10th to the 14th April 2002. Distributors from across Europe, Mediterranean, Middle East & Africa attended the event which saw introduction of a couple of Symantec's new products including the Symantec Gateway Security Appliance.

The Conference started of with product demonstrations, insight into Symantec positioning as the No.1 Internet Security Company followed by Workshops and with the Award Ceremony for last year's best performances.

Aptec Gulf was awarded "The Distributor of the Year 2001 for Middle East & Africa" (including South Africa). The achievement was based on the following criteria -

Revenue
Formation of Business Unit

Bahaa Salah, Regional General Manager for Aptec Gulf, Levant & Africa received the award from Guiseppe Verrini, Vice-President, EMEA, Sales, Marketing & Services & Stefan Hoelzl, Director, Distribution Sales, EMEA. Prajit Arakkal, Symantec Business Unit Manager for the Aptec Group and Thierry Chamayou, General Manager, Aptec Saudi Arabia were delegates from Aptec for the event.

Being Value Added Distributors for Symantec, we have invested a lot in training staff to support and enhance skills of our business partners to deliver the right solutions to the enterprise market.
