Aptec Gulf Distributor of the Year for Third Consecutive Year

Dubai, March 22, 2004

US Robotics, the leading provider of Internet connectivity solutions for small to medium businesses and home users, celebrated its remarkable 2003 performance at the annual “Achievements Night” on March 22, 2004. The celebration is held to recognize the achievements made by the company’s channel partners, who received awards from Peter Blampied, director of sales, EMEA for US Robotics.

Before the Gala Event began, the Annual Awards were presented, with Aptec Gulf LLC being rewarded for another exceptional year. For the third consecutive year, Aptec Gulf LLC was awarded the Best Regional Distributor for 2003. This was only the beginning for Aptec though, as they also walked away with Best Analog Distributor, Best Product Manager (Sumit Kumar) and Best Analog Salesperson (Vineet Kajaria). Aptec’s customers were also recognized with Best Wholesaler (PC International) and Best Retailer (Quality Computers). This result caused Sumit Kumar to voice his appreciation, “We are very happy to get this award for the third year in a row. We are thankful to USR for their continuous support and also to our Channel partners who have always been behind us .We are looking forward for a much better 2004.”

"In the last quarter of the year, we achieved 105% of our net revenue target," said Yusuf Syed, regional manager USR. "Congratulations to Aptec Gulf who won the ‘Best Regional Distributor for Overall Performance 2003’ award and well done to our channel partners who have put in all the effort to make this a successful year.”

Bahaa Salah, General Manager of Aptec Gulf LLC, added “The US Robotics brand is by itself leading the Internet access revolution and is proving to be the number one brand in our markets. We thank US Robotics for the award and look forward to greater success in the coming years.”
