Aptec’s CEO joins Microsoft
Distribution Partner Advisory Council (DPAC).
Dr. Ali Baghdadi attended the
Microsoft meeting of DPAC representing the Middle East.
Dubai, UAE, 13th December 2011 - Aptec Holdings, one of
the largest technology Value-Added Distributors in the
Middle East and North Africa, announced today that Dr
Ali Baghdadi, CEO and President of Aptec Group, attended
the session of Microsoft Distribution Partner Advisory
Council (DPAC) which took place in Seattle, USA, in
November 15th, 2011. Microsoft Distribution Partner
Advisory Council is an ongoing, strategic business forum
between the executive leadership of Microsoft and a
select number of authorized Microsoft distributors with
strong local or regional presence. The Advisory Council
is comprised of 25 Distribution Executives within
Microsoft’s global distributor partner community and
reflects the geographical and market diversity of
Microsoft distribution ecosystem. Agendas of the
Advisory Council’s meetings are member-driven and focus
on strategic and mutually-relevant topics, including
Microsoft distribution business strategy development,
channel sales program enhancements and investment plans,
Microsoft product strategies, cloud computing, field
engagement and other. Microsoft DPAC sessions take place
twice a year in different parts of the world.

Earlier this year Microsoft Corporation had extended a
formal invitation to Dr. A. Ali Baghdadi to participate
in the global Microsoft Distribution Partner Advisory
Council (DPAC) representing the Middle East. Dr. Ali
Baghdadi, CEO and President of Aptec Group, commented
after attending the November Advisory Council: “I am
delighted to have participated in the Microsoft
Distribution Partner Advisory Council. Given our
involvement in the distribution of traditional license
and OEM products as well as being a VAD and our recent
appointment as a Cloud distributor, I had a chance to
share issues and experiences of the channel in the

was very productive as Microsoft has dedicated highly

increase the efficiency of Microsoft’s relationship with
the channel and to enhance its profitability. Managing
Cloud based services, rebate programs, channel tools and
World Wide pricing were some of the topics discussed
during the sessions,” – he added when sharing his
feedback about the DPAC session. Dr Ali Baghdadi has
mentioned also he is looking forward for next meeting of
DPAC which will be held in London next March/ April.
