Aptec Gulf appointed as regional distributor
for Fujitsu Siemens Computers
29 October 2002
The distributor will handle the whole range of Fujitsu
Siemens products, including PDAs, Lifebook laptops,
Scenic PCs and Intel Primergy servers. Aptec already
has a distribution agreement with FSC for Saudi Arabia,
Egypt and Lebanon, but the new deal extends this to
the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar."
Over the past few months, Fujitsu Siemens Computers
has been notching up new gains across the Gulf and Middle
East, indicating excellent growth prospects, compared
to other regions that have been either experiencing
a slowdown or showing signs of stagnancy. In less than
two years of operations in the Gulf, Fujitsu Siemens
finds itself on the fast growth track and we are gearing
ourselves to effectively tap the huge potential that
exists in this developing market," said Farid Sabbagh,
Fujitsu Siemens Computers distribution sales manager.
Bahaa Salah, Regional General Manager, Aptec Gulf with
Farid Sabbagh, Distribution Sales Manager, Fujitsu Siemens
Computers.
"As Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ key strategy
is to grow by building strong bonds with its distributors,
the appointment of Aptec Gulf is of crucial importance
to us. FSC and Aptec will pool their resources to meet
the challenges of education, training and product availability.
We are delighted to be working with Aptec and its wide
network of resellers and are confident of making further
gains in this market," Sabbagh added.
"Aptec Gulf is pleased to enter into a partnership
with Fujitsu Siemens Computers to market its reputed
range of IT products because they carry a stamp of quality
that is recognized internationally," said Bahaa
Salah, regional general manager, Aptec Gulf. "This
region is on the threshold of an IT boom and Aptec is
proud to play a major role in it by bringing world-class
IT products and solutions to this market. We are positive
that the cutting edge technology used in FSC products
and our extensive reach in the region will be a successful
combination to bring some of the world’s best
IT products to consumers."
