Aptec has been signed as the VMWare Authorised Training Center (VATC) in the Middle East.

Dubai, UAE, 12th September 2011 – Aptec Holdings, one of the largest technology distributors in the Middle East, Pakistan, Turkey & North Africa, received a status of VATC – VMWare Authorized Training Center - for the Middle East region. The first training centre will be opened by Aptec at its UAE regional head office in Dubai Internet City by end of October 2011 with the KSA and Egypt to follow soon.

Mario Veljovic, General Manager of Advanced Technology Services (ATS), a professional services subsidiary within the Aptec Group, said the company is delighted at this partnership with VMware and is looking forward to work with the vendor in providing virtualization solutions training to channel partners in the region. Veljovic said the company will start offering classroom, instructor-led trainings to partners from November 2011. The training schedule has been already announced and partners can have access to it through ATS website: www.atservice.biz. "We already have a VMware Certified Instructor on board who will be conducting trainings for channel partners in the region. The company has also secured addition office space within our current premises that will host the training centre,"- he said. Mario Veljovic added that initially the vSphere: Install, Configure and Manage course will be offered, before adding more courses for partners. "We also intend to add virtualisation and technology labs to the training as the company already runs these programs through the Data Centre Partner Alliance Program which was unveiled earlier this year,"- he said.

Aptec is the only one distributor in the region which offer complete stack of Vmware offerings, right from traditional Licensing, Training, Services and VSPP.

Aptec will be showcasing VMWare solutions at Aptec Gitex stand in Hall 4, stand C4-1, during Gitex Technology Week (09th -13th October 2011) in Dubai World Trade Center.
