Distributor posted 251% growth for Avaya business in 2008

Middle East– January 21, 2009 – Aptec Distribution FZ LLC, part of Aptec Holdings Limited, one of the region’s largest technology distributors covering Middle East, Turkey & (English-speaking) sub-Saharan Africa, has won Avaya’s “Best SME Distributor” award for the third consecutive year at the recently concluded annual Avaya Partner conference. Aptec was recognized for its 251% growth in Avaya business in 2008 (over 2007).

According to Salah, voice solutions in general and Avaya solutions in particular are reaping substantial profitability for Aptec partners and in the present economic climate this is good news.

Reflecting the growth of the business, Aptec invested in resources within its Networking Business Unit under the capable direction of its manager, Sabbahuddin Khan from pre-sales to technical support. Aptec also launched a series of seven-day, hands-on training sessions for its partners on Avaya’s range of SMB solutions beginning with UAE and Oman. All the trainees from the partners were trained by qualified & certified Avaya trainers using the partners’ own demo equipment, providing practical hands-on experience.

Both Avaya and Aptec proactively worked with its interested channel partners during the training sessions. In addition to the training sessions, Aptec expanded its in-house Avaya team to offer channel partners with pre-sales support, proof of concepts and technical trainings.
