Aptec introduces Business
Critical Solutions to HP Partners.
27th October 2008
Special event
hosted at Gitex to leverage key software partnerships
with HP to add new revenue options for the channel.
Middle East– October 27, 2008
–
Aptec Distribution FZ LLC, part of Aptec Holdings, one
of the largest technology distributors in Middle East,
Turkey & Africa’s, launched special business critical
solution blocks addressing different vertical markets
like manufacturing, education, retail, public sector,
government, and financial services; to name a few. The
solutions were introduced at a special one-day seminar
entitled “Business Critical Solutions 2009” jointly
hosted with HP and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) on
the last day of Gitex 2008.
"One
of our commitments to our (HP) channel partners is to
help them offer bespoke solutions that fit their
customers’ needs,” said Carlos Tannous, Business Unit
Manager for HP Enterprise Storage and Servers at Aptec
Distribution. “This seminar will not only show them the
various options available to them but also to provide
them with the tools to make these solutions deliverable
to their customers. This seminar was an opportunity for
partners to experience these solutions live and test
applications.”
Aptec’s team has put together solution “blocks” that
include hardware, software, application and the
integration service. Each block is hosted on the HP
Business Critical Server platforms. Applications are
chosen from the portfolio of leading Independent
Software Vendors in the region including Polaris Retail
Infotech Limited, Wrench Solutions, BML Istisharat,
Eskadenia and Estarta, addressing the various
industries.
Aptec highly qualified sales and
presales consultants in the HP Value Team will be
supporting its partners in positioning these bespoke
solutions. In addition, Aptec’s HP competence centre
will be host select applications.
“HP's aggressive growth plans in the Mid-market will
leverage its traditional strengths of channel coverage
through value distribution and close alliances with ISVs
and Sis,” said Ryan D’souza Manager, Business Critical
Systems from HP Middle East. “The objective of
simplifying our solution offering to our customers is
what drives this initiative - and there is a lot more to
come.”
Aptec’s event saw key local ISVs articulate the value
proposition and business potential of vertical solutions
that can be offered to SMB-Mid Market customers on HP
platforms. Over 40 HP Partners that attended this event
will now have the opportunity to forge new alliances and
address previously untapped markets while expanding
their portfolio of solution offerings resulting in
additional revenue streams and business growth.
Aptec
launched its dedicated HP value added division earlier
this year to focus on HP’s high-end servers and storage
solutions.
