Distributor of the Year for AVAYA SME Business.

APTEC, the Middle East’s leading IT & Telecommunication
Distributor was awarded the SME Distributor of the Year
2007 by Avaya in a business partner event held here in
Dubai on the 21st January 2008 at the Madinat Jumeirah
hotel, which was attended by Avaya Distributors and
Channel Partners in the Middle East and North Africa
region. APTEC Distribution was rewarded for its
consistent and successful efforts towards Avaya’s SME
Business.

business is gaining ever greater momentum in MENA and
the Aptec team has played a critical role in Avaya's
continued success in the SME segment. Aptec has proven
its capability as a value-add distributor by taking
solid initiatives in channel education, training,
business development, pipeline management and technical
support. Aptec is also gearing up to offer post-sales
assistance to its partners. I have all the confidence

said Khalid Khan, Distribution Manager, Avaya Middle
East.

flagship SMB solution, is being well accepted within the
GCC countries. More and more SMB companies are being
established in the region, hence the IP Office
addressable market continues to grow rapidly. To address
this potential, we are in the process of recruiting more
partners in the GCC countries and running extensive
partner enablement programs throughout 2008,” commented
Mr. Sabbahuddin Khan, Business Unit Manager – Networking
at APTEC Distribution Fz. He continued, “Our partners
are happy selling Avaya IP Office as they are able to
build services around IP Office projects. Also since the
sales cycle for an IP Office opportunity is shorter than
an enterprise opportunity, they are able to have run
rate business through this product.”
When asked about the
future direction, Sabbah commented, “We plan to focus on
vertical development with our channel partners to
increase application sales. We plan to launch the Avaya
Quick Edition solution very soon. This Peer-to-Peer
solution is a simple yet sophisticated phone system for
small businesses or small branch offices of enterprises
and should do extremely well. We are expanding our team
by adding technical resources to assist our partners
with pre and post sales.”
Avaya Also recognized Mr. Abhishek Hajra – Product
Manager Avaya at Aptec Distribution as the best “Best
Contributor to the Business year 2007.”
