The group is distributing top industry brands covering Services, Networking, Software, Hardware, PC Components and Telecommunication products. More than 400 employees and 5 subsidiaries and locations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey, are serving the emerging core markets of the region.

APTEC's regional geographical coverage, extensive customer base and its value added services made the group the largest and fastest growing distributor in the region. All subsidiaries are using state-of-the-art technology, including an advanced web based B2B e-commerce system called Aptec-Online.

The group has 6 strategically located warehousing facilities, comprising more than 35,000 sq. ft, in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon and Turkey to cater more than 5000 resellers in more than 70 countries. Aptec already back in 1997 took advantage of Dubai’s famous Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ) in the UAE. The JAFZ logistic center is used for central services within the group and is serving customers primarily in the Arabian Gulf and African region.

APTEC (short for Appropriate Technology) was founded in London (the UK) in 1980. A highly innovative and dynamic company that designed printers, software drivers and Arabic operating systems and applications for the European and Middle East markets. The founder, Dr. A Ali Baghdadi, always had a keen interest in transferring technology to developing countries. Hence Aptec's first operations in the Middle East started as early as 1982.
